If anxiety has taken control, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, constantly on edge, or isolated, you are not alone. Traditional methods often focus on battling or suppressing anxiety, but I offer a gentle, evidence-based approach centered on Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. This method shifts your relationship with anxiety from one of constant struggle to one of acceptance, understanding, and healing.
Our work together is not about eliminating anxious thoughts, but about changing how you react to them.
Mindfulness: You will grow your ability to notice what is happening in the moment so that increasingly, you can respond appropriately. You will begin to recognize your thoughts and feelings as temporary experiences, not absolute truths.
Self-Compassion: You will learn to cultivate a powerful antidote to the harsh self-criticism that so often comes with anxiety. You will learn to respond to your struggles and perceived failures with the same kindness, understanding, and support you would offer a dear friend. This involves recognizing that suffering and imperfection are part of the shared human experience.
